Loli Artist Review: Sekiya Asami

Since this blog has now officially been branded “mature”, I can post without restraint on topics such as my favourite loli artists. So I decided I’d do a review of each of my favourites, all following a pattern similar to the reviews of anime on this blog.

My first review will be somewhat of a tryout of my new concept. I will therefore post on Sekiya Asami, which appeared in my previous post and seemed quite appreciated judging by the comments. Beforehand, I will briefly explain each aspect of my reviewing process. Note that since all the artists I review are among my greatest favourites of a collection that boasts over 450 different artists, the ratings I give will always be very critical, otherwise I’d give nothing but 10 out of 10s.

Artwork: Refers to the quality or drawing, colouring (if applicable), presentation, etc. The whole “moe” aspect will also be included here. I also pay a lot of attention to details and originality.

Story: You didn’t hallucinate! I will rate the storyline of eromangas. Because it DOES matter to me. Consequently, most of my favourite loli artists have a great deal of translated material.

Fappability: The main aspect. Or is it? This attempts to rate how easily this artist’s works are able to arouse me, and how equally his works do so.

I thought about adding a “Overall enjoyment” category to this, but that would have been more or less pointless since I’d have had a hard time giving only perfect marks…

Artwork: 9.5/10

Sekiya Asami’s artstyle is simply awesome. Clean, cute, appealing, detailed… it has it all. Each character is thoroughly designed and the backgrounds are sometimes picturesque. However, female characters he draws tend to closely resemble each other. Judge by yourself with the covers of his three tankoubons:

Story: 10/10

Undoubtedly one of the eromangakas with the most engaging and emotional stories I know of. His stories are realistic whilst not featuring rape or such. You have to see for yourself, I guess.

Fappability: 9.5/10

Great artist and extremely arousing scenes (especially if you have a defloration/loss of innocence fetish as I have myself), but the lack of variety makes me bored of his works after a while.
